In Saturday's non-league test, the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Catholic Crusaders (Virginia Beach, VA), by a score of 57-48.

Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league test, on Monday, January 20. Varina will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 11-0 record after their 87-45 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).

The Crusaders (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Word of God Christian Academy National (Raleigh, NC). The Holy Rams come into the non-league test with a 12-9 record. In their last test, Word of God Christian Academy National beat Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC), 72-71, in a non-league test.
