Maryland High School Basketball - Sandy Spring Friends thwarts Saint James

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD) and the host Saint James Saints (Hagerstown, MD), observed Sandy Spring Friends's basketball team knock off Saint James by a score of 57-48.

The Wildebeests (7-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Indian Creek (Crownsville, MD). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-15 record. In their last challenge, Indian Creek was knocked off by Concordia Prep (Towson, MD), 70-63, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Saints encounter the Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington, DC) in a DCSAA AA challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Saint James will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record.
