California High School Basketball - St. Mary's Academy fells Portola
January 18, 2025: Irvine, CA 92618 The St. Mary's Academy Belles basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Portola Bulldogs to 57 in the Belles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Belles now have a 13-6 record. They play next when they host La Salle for a Del Rey game on Tuesday, January 21. St. Mary's Academy will confront a Lancers team coming off a 44-41 league loss to Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 16-4.
With the loss, Portola falls to 11-13 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Sage Hill (Newport Beach, CA) to confront the Lightning in a Pacific Coast game on Friday, January 24. The Lightning go into the game with a record of 13-7. Sage Hill won 62-42 in their recent league game against St. Margaret's (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
