California High School Basketball - Helix holds off Granite Hills
January 19, 2024: La Mesa, CA 91941 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) and the visiting Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA), saw Helix's basketball squad hold off Granite Hills by a tally of 46-43.
With the victory, Helix improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to confront the Matadors in a Grossmont - Hills challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Matadors come into the challenge with a record of 3-18. Mount Miguel lost 77-29 in their recent league challenge against El Capitan (Lakeside, CA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Granite Hills will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Foothillers come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 65-33 league win over Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA).
