The Union Grove Wolverines basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Northside Patriots to 57 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wolverines now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Locust Grove for a AAAAA Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Union Grove will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 62-39 league loss to Jones County (Gray, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-14.

The Patriots (2-14) will now prepare for their contest against Harris County (Hamilton, GA). The Tigers enter the AAAAA Region 3 contest with a 3-14 record. In their last contest, Harris County was defeated by Shaw (Columbus, GA), 65-55, in a non-league contest.
