The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Marion Swamp Foxes (Marion, SC) and the visiting Loris Lions (Loris, SC), observed Marion's basketball team edge Loris by a score of 69-67.

The Swamp Foxes (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Mullins (Mullins, SC). The Auctioneers come into the AA Region 7 challenge with a 14-2 record.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Aynor Blue Jackets (Aynor, SC) in a AAA Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Loris will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Blue Jackets come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 71-52 league loss to Waccamaw (Pawley's Island, SC).
