January 20, 2025: Moses Lake, WA 98837 White River Hornets (Buckley, WA) supporters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Moses Lake Mavericks (Moses Lake, WA), 67-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, White River advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The Hornets travel to Jefferson (Auburn, WA) to face the Raiders in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 8-6. Jefferson won 41-33 in their recent league match against Kentlake (Kent, WA)
The Mavericks now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sunnyside for a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 match on Friday, January 24. Moses Lake will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 75-23 league loss to Davis (Yakima, WA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 3-10.
