California High School Basketball - St. Anthony holds off Long Beach Poly
January 21, 2023: Long Beach, CA 90802 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) and the visiting Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits (Long Beach, CA), saw St. Anthony's basketball squad hold off Long Beach Poly by a tally of 61-55.
With the victory, St. Anthony improves its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Saints host Serra (Gardena, CA) to confront the Cavaliers in a Del Rey challenge on Wednesday, January 25. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 9-16. Serra lost 80-50 in their recent league challenge against Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA)
Next up, the Jackrabbits confront the Compton Tarbabes (Compton, CA) in a Moore challenge, on Monday, January 23. Long Beach Poly will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Tarbabes come into the challenge with a 5-18 record after their 93-40 league loss to Jordan (Long Beach, CA).
