The Elgin Comets basketball team (Marion, OH), was nudged 52-50 in Monday's league battle with the visiting Ridgedale Rockets (Morral, OH)

The Rockets now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Baltimore for a Northwest Central battle on Thursday, January 25. Ridgedale will confront a Tigers team coming off a 58-24 non-league loss to Hilltop (West Unity, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 1-13.

The Comets (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH). The Tigers come into the Northwest Central battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Waynesfield-Goshen was nudged by Botkins (Botkins, OH), 65-52, in a non-league battle.
