In Thursday's league contest, the host Powdersville Patriots basketball team scored a big 58-30 win over the Carolina Academy Trojans.

The Patriots (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Palmetto (Williamston, SC). The Mustangs come into the AAA Region 2 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Palmetto was trounced by Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC), 62-48, in a league contest.
