Alabama High School Basketball - Weaver bested by Saks

January 23, 2025: Anniston, AL 36206

Saks Wildcats (Anniston, AL) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL), 49-33 in a league match.

With the victory, Saks advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Wildcats host Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL) to face the Raiders in a non-league match on Friday, January 24. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 4-13.

The Bearcats now own a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oxford for a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. Weaver will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 47-35 non-league win over Jasper (Jasper, AL). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 14-8.
