January 24, 2023: Davidson, NC 28036 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC) and the host Davidson Day Patriots (Davidson, NC), saw Statesville Christian's basketball squad hold off Davidson Day by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Statesville Christian improves its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to University Christian (Hickory, NC) to confront the Barracudas in a NCISAA Foothills challenge on Friday, January 27. The Barracudas come into the challenge with a record of 0-15. University Christian lost 75-28 in their recent league challenge against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Hickory Christian Academy Knights (Hickory, NC) in a NCISAA Foothills challenge, on Friday, January 27. Davidson Day will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 73-72 non-league win over North Hills Christian (Salisbury, NC).
