In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Johnson County Central Thunderbirds basketball team scored a big 69-41 triumph over the Falls City Tigers.

The Thunderbirds (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fairbury (Fairbury, NE). The Jeffs go into the non-league contest with a 5-10 record.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Auburn Bulldogs (Auburn, NE) in a C1 District 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Falls City will attempt to better on its 0-15 season record.
