Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL), 62-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Proviso East advances its record to 15-7 on the year. The Pirates travel to Addison Trail (Addison, IL) to face the Blazers in a West Suburban - Gold match on Friday, January 31. The Blazers enter the match with a record of 10-10.

The Lions now own a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hinsdale South for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Lyons will face a Hornets squad coming off a 66-49 league win over Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 5-16.
