The Sandy Valley Cardinals basketball squad (Magnolia, OH), was crushed 71-23 in Saturday's league battle with the host Hiland Hawks (Berlin, OH)

With the victory, Hiland advances its record to 15-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Ridgewood (West Lafayette, OH) to meet the Generals in a Inter-Valley battle on Wednesday, January 29. The Generals enter the battle with a record of 11-5.

The Cardinals now own a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Claymont for a Inter-Valley battle on Monday, January 27. Sandy Valley will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 38-33 non-league win over St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-9.
