In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting The New Community School Sabers basketball team scored a good 66-56 triumph over the Amelia Academy Patriots.

In their next game, the Sabers meet the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights (Powhatan, VA) in a non-league match, on Monday, January 30. The New Community School will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 4-7 record after their 59-52 league loss to Amelia Academy (Amelia Court House, VA).
