January 26, 2024: West Chester, PA 19380 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) and the host East Vikings (West Chester, PA), saw Downingtown West's basketball squad hold off East by a count of 75-71.
With the victory, Downingtown West upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Whippets travel to Mount Pleasant (Wilmington, DE) to play the Green Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Green Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Mount Pleasant won 52-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Concord (Wilmington, DE)
Next up, the Vikings play the Downingtown East Cougars (Exton, PA) in a Ches-Mont - National challenge, on Saturday, January 27. East will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 60-22 league loss to Coatesville (Coatesville, PA).
