January 27, 2023: Rockville, MD 20852 Richard Montgomery Rockets (Rockville, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gaithersburg Trojans (Gaithersburg, MD), 54-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Richard Montgomery upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Rockets host Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD) to clash with the Coyotes in a Montgomery 4A West bout on Monday, January 30. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Clarksburg won 60-47 in their recent league bout against Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD)
Next up, the Trojans clash with the Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Gaithersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Colonels go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 73-40 league win over Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD).
