January 27, 2023: Chillicothe, OH 45601 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Huntington Huntsmen (Chillicothe, OH) and the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), saw Huntington's basketball squad overcome Wellston by a tally of 67-54.
With the victory, Huntington improves its record to 3-14 on the campaign. The Huntsmen host Westfall (Williamsport, OH) to confront the Mustangs in a Scioto Valley challenge on Friday, February 3. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Westfall lost 54-37 in their recent league challenge against Paint Valley (Bainbridge, OH)
Next up, the Golden Rockets confront the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes (Nelsonville, OH) in a Tri-Valley I challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Wellston will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Buckeyes come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 55-44 league loss to Vinton County (McArthur, OH).
