Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Amant crushes East Ascension
January 27, 2023: St. Amant, LA 70774 St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), 74-40 in a league bout.
With the win, St. Amant upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Gators travel to Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 5A District 5 game on Tuesday, January 31. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a record of 21-2. Denham Springs won 71-37 in their recent league game against Live Oak (Watson, LA)
With the defeat, East Ascension moves to 9-7 on the year. The Spartans host Capitol (Baton Rouge, LA) to face the Lions in a non-league game on Saturday, January 28. The Lions enter the game with a record of 6-10. Capitol won 47-36 in their recent league game against East Feliciana (Jackson, LA)
