Texas High School Basketball - Wellington overwhelms Memphis
January 27, 2023: Memphis, TX 79245 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Wellington Skyrockets (Wellington, TX) and the host Memphis Cyclones (Memphis, TX), saw Wellington's basketball squad wallop Memphis by a tally of 83-18.
With the victory, Wellington improves its record to 20-8 on the campaign. The Skyrockets host Wheeler (Wheeler, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Wheeler won 62-30 in their recent league challenge against Shamrock (Shamrock, TX)
Next up, the Cyclones confront the Clarendon Broncos (Clarendon, TX) in a 2A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 31. Memphis will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Broncos come into the challenge with a 18-4 record after their 45-36 league win over Quanah (Quanah, TX).
