Maine High School Basketball - Monmouth Academy sneaks past Richmond
January 27, 2025: Richmond, ME 04357 The Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) basketball edged the host Richmond Bobcats (Richmond, ME), 30-29 in Monday's league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 12-8 record. They play next when they host Maranacook for a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. Monmouth Academy will play a Black Bears team coming off a 38-34 non-league loss to Mount Abram (Strong, ME). The Black Bears record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, Richmond falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME) to play the Breakers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Breakers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Pine Tree Academy lost 50-38 in their recent non-league bout against College View Academy (Lincoln, NE)
