January 28, 2025: Darien, IL 60561 Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL), 66-29 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lyons advances its record to 9-11 on the year. The Lions host Proviso West (Hillside, IL) to face the Panthers in a West Suburban - Silver match on Friday, January 31. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 5-9. Proviso West lost 88-61 in their recent non-league match against Marist (Chicago, IL)
The Hornets now own a 5-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leyden for a West Suburban - Gold match on Thursday, January 30. Hinsdale South will face a Eagles squad coming off a 60-50 non-league loss to Fenton (Bensenville, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-15.
