Texas High School Basketball - Brownfield thwarts Lamesa
January 28, 2025: Lamesa, TX 79331 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Brownfield Cubs (Brownfield, TX) and the host Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX), observed Brownfield's basketball team knock off Lamesa by a score of 57-39.
The Cubs (9-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Coahoma (Coahoma, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region I District 3 challenge with a 22-4 record. In their last challenge, Coahoma prevailed over Stanton (Stanton, TX), 57-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tornadoes encounter the Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 31. Lamesa will attempt to improve on its 9-22 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 60-19 league win over Compass Academy (Odessa, TX).
