Arizona High School Soccer - Mountain Ridge knocks off Maryvale
January 28, 2025: Glendale, AZ 85310 The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Maryvale Panthers to 0 in the Mountain Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Mountain Lions now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Boulder Creek for a 6A Desert Valley bout on Thursday, January 30. Mountain Ridge will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over West Point (Avondale, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Maryvale moves to 3-6 on the year. The Panthers travel to Camelback (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Spartans in a 6A Metro bout on Thursday, January 30. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 1-11. Camelback lost 5-2 in their recent non-league bout against Dobson (Mesa, AZ)
