The Aiken Fighting Green Hornets basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds to 61 in the Fighting Green Hornets league triumph on Wednesday.

The Fighting Green Hornets now have a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to North Augusta for a AAAA Region 4 game on Friday, January 31. Aiken will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 55-51 league loss to Gray Collegiate Academy (West Columbia, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 17-1.

With the loss, South Aiken falls to 6-14 on the campaign. The Thoroughbreds host Gilbert (Gilbert, SC) to confront the Indians in a AAAA Region 4 game on Friday, January 31. The Indians go into the game with a record of 1-17. Gilbert lost 84-59 in their recent league match against Aiken (Aiken, SC)
