In Wednesday's non-league test, the Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals (Greensboro, NC), by a score of 66-44.

Next, the Firebirds clash with the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 4. Phoenix Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 11-9 record after their 82-53 league loss to Carver (Winston-Salem, NC).

The Bengals (2-12) will now prepare for their test against Leadership Academy (Kernersville, NC). The Falcons come into the 1A Northwest Piedmont test with a 14-5 record. In their last test, Leadership Academy bounced Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC), 72-39, in a league test.
