New York High School Basketball - Bolivar-Richburg toppled by Cuba-Rushford
January 29, 2025: Bolivar, NY 14715 Cuba-Rushford Rebels (Cuba, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines (Bolivar, NY), 52-35 in a league match.
With the victory, Cuba-Rushford upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Rebels host Fillmore (Fillmore, NY) to face the Eagles in a Section 5 Allegany match on Tuesday, February 4. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 12-1. Fillmore won 37-28 in their recent non-league match against Andover (Andover, NY)
The Wolverines now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hinsdale Central for a Section 5 Allegany match on Friday, January 31. Bolivar-Richburg will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 50-8 league loss to Fillmore (Fillmore, NY). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-6.
