January 29, 2025: Kincaid, IL 62531 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Edinburg/South Fork Ponies (Kincaid, IL) and the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), observed Edinburg/South Fork's basketball team knock off Southwestern by a score of 44-24.
The Ponies (15-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia dropped by Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL), 55-17, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Piasa Birds encounter the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 19-4 record after their 40-24 non-league loss to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL).
