In Tuesday's league match, the host Center Roughriders basketball team scored a good 55-36 triumph over the Gilmer Buckeyes.

In their next game, the Roughriders meet the Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 match, on Friday, February 2. Center will attempt to move on its 16-9 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 2-26 record after their 48-42 league loss to Carthage (Carthage, TX).
