Maryland High School Basketball - Gaithersburg ripped by Sherwood
January 30, 2024: Sandy Spring, MD 20860 The Sherwood Warriors basketball team scored 88 points and held the visiting Gaithersburg Trojans to 58 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Warriors now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richard Montgomery for a Montgomery 4A/3A East contest on Friday, February 2. Sherwood will battle a Rockets team coming off a 74-71 non-league loss to Whitman (Bethesda, MD). The Rockets record now stands at 9-6.
The Trojans (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD). The Cougars enter the Montgomery 4A West contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Quince Orchard was routed by Wootton (Rockville, MD), 68-65, in a non-league contest.
