Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA) backers went home thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA), 44-43 in a non-league contest.

The Cadets (8-15) will now prepare for their contest against St. Christopher's (Richmond, VA). The Saints go into the Virginia Prep contest with a 17-2 record. In their last contest, St. Christopher's nipped Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA), 52-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bishops battle the Morgantown Mohigans (Morgantown, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Virginia Episcopal School will attempt to better on its 7-14 season record. The Mohigans enter the match with a 9-1 record after their 80-50 non-league win over Nitro (Nitro, WV).
