In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Faith Christian Lions basketball team scored a close 59-57 triumph over the Cypress Creek Bears.

The Lions (17-6) will now prepare for their contest against Freedom (Orlando, FL). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 12-11 record. In their last contest, Freedom nipped International Community (Winter Park, FL), 68-56, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Wekiva Mustangs (Apopka, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Cypress Creek will attempt to better on its 11-13 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 10-13 record after their 65-58 non-league loss to Evans (Orlando, FL).
