The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) and the visiting Liberty Eagles (Liberty, IL), observed Father McGivney Catholic's basketball team knock off Liberty by a score of 46-35.

The Griffins (15-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Jersey (Jerseyville, IL). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Jersey was knocked off by Nokomis (Nokomis, IL), 58-54, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL) in a Freelance challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 12-13 season record.
