California High School Basketball - Taft nips McFarland

In Thursday's league contest, the host Taft Wildcats basketball team scored a close 43-40 triumph over the McFarland Cougars.

The Wildcats (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Chavez (Delano, CA). The Titans go into the South Sequoia contest with a 8-10 record.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Kennedy Thunderbirds (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia contest, on Tuesday, February 4. McFarland will attempt to better on its 8-17 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the contest with a 1-16 record after their 62-24 league loss to Taft (Taft, CA).
