The May River Sharks topped the visiting Hilton Head Island Seahawks basketball team by a final score of 64-54 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Sharks face the Colleton County Cougars (Walterboro, SC) in a AAAA Region 7 game, on Friday, February 3. May River will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 8-13 record after their 51-46 league win over Bluffton (Bluffton, SC).

With the defeat, Hilton Head Island moves to 4-13 on the year. The Seahawks travel to Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC) to face the Bengals in a AAAA Region 7 game on Friday, February 3.
