The Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) basketball edged the host Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC), 54-52 in Friday's league bout.

The Lions now possess a 14-12 record. They play next when they host Cannon for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent bout on Tuesday, February 4. Covenant Day will play a Cougars team coming off a 63-57 league loss to Providence Day (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 12-11.

With the loss, Charlotte Latin falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Hawks host Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to play the Buccaneers in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent bout on Tuesday, February 4.
