James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting West Ashley Wildcats (Charleston, SC), 71-50 in a league match.

With the victory, James Island advances its record to 14-7 on the year. The Trojans travel to Summerville (Summerville, SC) to meet the Green Wave in a AAAAA Region 8 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Green Wave enter the match with a record of 11-3. Summerville won 100-31 in their recent league match against Stall (Charleston, SC)

The Wildcats now own a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Dorchester for a AAAAA Region 8 match on Tuesday, February 4. West Ashley will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 49-48 league loss to Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 8-13.
