California High School Basketball - Pershing County fells North Tahoe

January 31, 2025: Tahoe City, CA 96161

The Pershing County Mustangs basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host North Tahoe Lakers to 53 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 12-13 record. They play next when they host Oasis Academy for a 2A Northern game on Tuesday, February 4. Pershing County will confront a Bighorns team coming off a 45-28 league win over Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV). The Bighorns record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, North Tahoe falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Yerington (Yerington, NV) to confront the Lions in a 2A Northern game on Saturday, February 1. The Lions go into the game with a record of 10-9. Yerington lost 63-50 in their recent league game against Pershing County (Lovelock, NV)
