With the victory, Barbe advances its record to 23-3 on the year. The Buccaneers host North Vermilion (Maurice, LA) to meet the Patriots in a non-league battle on Monday, February 3. The Patriots enter the battle with a record of 21-1. North Vermilion won 53-13 in their recent league battle against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA)
The Bears now own a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Iberia for a 5A District 3 battle on Tuesday, February 4. Carencro will meet a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 47-9 league win over Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 16-7.
