The Ridge View Blazers (Columbia, SC) basketball edged the visiting Spring Valley Vikings (Columbia, SC), 58-54 in Friday's league bout.

The Blazers now possess a 14-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lugoff-Elgin for a AAAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, February 4. Ridge View will play a Demons team coming off a 85-21 league loss to Blythewood (Blythewood, SC). The Demons record now stands at 8-15.

With the loss, Spring Valley falls to 11-8 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Westwood (Blythewood, SC) to play the Redhawks in a AAAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Redhawks go into the bout with a record of 9-13. Westwood lost 71-64 in their recent league bout against Ridge View (Columbia, SC)
