February 1, 2025: Hoopa, CA 95546 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hoopa Valley Warriors (Hoopa, CA) and the visiting Fortuna Huskies (Fortuna, CA), observed Hoopa Valley's basketball team edge Fortuna by a margin of 62-59.
The Warriors (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Ferndale (Ferndale, CA). The Wildcats come into the Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4 challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Ferndale was tipped by St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA), 62-45, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Huskies battle the Eureka Loggers (Eureka, CA) in a Humboldt-Del Norte - Big 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Fortuna will attempt to better on its 8-16 season record. The Loggers come into the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 61-57 non-league loss to University Prep (Redding, CA).
