In Saturday's non-league test, the North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Milton Black Panthers (Milton, PA), by a final score of 63-43.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA) in a Schuylkill County 1 test, on Tuesday, February 4. North Schuylkill will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Blue Raiders come into the test with a 7-14 record after their 69-45 league win over Panther Valley (Lansford, PA).

The Black Panthers (1-17) will now prepare for their test against Danville (Danville, PA). The Ironmen come into the Heartland II test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Danville overcame Lewisburg (Lewisburg, PA), 53-44, in a league test.
