In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders basketball team scored a close 49-44 win over the Liberty Raiders.

The Crusaders (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Montcalm (Montcalm, WV). The Generals come into the Coalfield A contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Montcalm edged Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV), 52-25, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a Coalfield AA contest, on Thursday, February 6. Liberty will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record.
