Mississippi High School Basketball - West Point triumphant over Noxubee County
February 1, 2025: Macon, MS 39341 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) and the host Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS), observed West Point's basketball team overwhelm Noxubee County by a score of 40-17.
The Green Wave (9-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Commodores come into the non-league challenge with a 14-11 record. In their last challenge, Lafayette trounced Bruce (Bruce, MS), 61-33, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the McLaurin Tigers (Florence, MS) in a 3A Region 5 challenge, on Monday, February 3. Noxubee County will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-19 record after their 43-37 league loss to Noxubee County (Macon, MS).
