New Mexico High School Basketball - Cleveland holds off Volcano Vista
February 2, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87114 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM) and the host Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM), saw Cleveland's basketball squad hold off Volcano Vista by a tally of 59-52.
With the victory, Cleveland improves its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Sundevils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Sundevils come into the challenge with a record of 1-10.
Next up, the Hawks confront the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Volcano Vista will attempt to improve on its 9-4 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 55-50 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NM).
