Huntington Highlanders (Huntington, WV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV), 81-68 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Huntington upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV) to play the Mohigans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Mohigans come into the bout with a record of 15-1. Morgantown won 94-41 in their recent non-league bout against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV)

Next up, the Tigers play the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Shady Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Polar Bears come into the bout with a 14-0 record after their 66-33 league win over Elkins (Elkins, WV).
