North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wake Academy nips Franklin Academy

East Wake Academy Eagles (Zebulon, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC), 30-27 in a league bout.

With the win, East Wake Academy upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Research Triangle (Research Triangle Park, NC) to play the Raptors in a 1A/2A Super Six bout on Saturday, February 3. The Raptors go into the bout with a record of 2-9.

Next up, the Patriots play the Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC) in a 1A/2A Super Six bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Franklin Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Raptors go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 53-34 league loss to East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC).
