Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA), 58-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mitchell County upgrades its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Quitman County (Georgetown, GA) to play the Hornets in a A D2 Region 1A bout on Friday, February 10. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 7-13.

Next up, the Pirates play the Seminole County Indians (Donalsonville, GA) in a A D2 Region 1B bout, on Saturday, February 4. Miller County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 13-9 record after their 57-47 league win over Early County (Blakely, GA).
