The Gillespie Miners basketball team scored 66 points and limited the visiting Edinburg/South Fork Ponies to 31 in the Miners non-league triumph on Monday.

The Miners now have a 19-8 record. They play next when they travel to Greenville for a South Central game on Thursday, February 6. Gillespie will confront a Comets team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL). The Comets record now stands at 7-17.

The Ponies now own a 15-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Staunton for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 5. Edinburg/South Fork will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 60-31 non-league win over Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-5.
